  • Ah. I found the setting to stop my / posts from showing up my blog. And to stop emailing me every time somebody posts.

  • I’m going to use as my main account for now, but I’m probably going to cross-post to too. I went with WordPress/Friends because it was easier and cheaper (I’d have had to pay for a VPS), but I really like being able to talk to people in the and at the same time.

  • Manually re-adding all my followed accounts was a trip down memory lane. There were a lot of defunct accounts from my early days on .

    I remember total chaos of everybody migrating instances every couple of days because the instance they were on had committed some minor transgression. While I stayed on matodon.social out of sheer bloody-mindedness.

    Mastodon was a much weirder place back then.

  • Migrated my account to my page. I used the WordPress plugin, plus the Friends plugin to create my own instance.
